Information people actually want to watch
Spotify – CPR instructions.

Spotify – Space Optimization, New York.
Spotify – SAFE video.
Spotify needed to get essential information in front of employees across their offices, from how to respond in a cardiac emergency to how to make better use of shared office space. Important information, but the kind that’s easily ignored.
Explainer’s approach was to bring entertainment and information together. Spotify employees played the lead roles, acting out staged scenarios in their actual workplace, guided by a narrator with a tone that’s both humorous and pedagogical.
Familiar faces and familiar surroundings made the films feel relevant, while humor kept people watching.
The Space Optimization Project addressed a different challenge. As the pandemic changed how people worked and attendance dropped at Spotify’s office at 4 World Trade Center in New York, the Global Workplace Services team had to rethink how the space was being used.
The film follows the project from the challenges of the hybrid workplace to the decisions involved in adapting the office to employees’ changing needs.
Explainer handled the process across all productions: concept, script, direction, and production, developed in close dialogue with Spotify's Global Workplace Services team.
Apart from the videos, Explainer also created illustrations for the GWS portal.
The result is information that sticks, because it never feels like a briefing.
